Job Description

JC Grounds Management is a leading snow removal contractor dedicated to providing reliable and efficient winter services. As a Salt Truck Operator, you will play a vital role in keeping communities safe during the winter season by operating salt application vehicles to treat roadways and parking lots. Responsibilities

• Operate salt application trucks safely and efficiently during winter weather events, following designated routes and site maps.
• Load salt and de-icing materials into trucks using a skid steer (training provided if needed).
• Apply the correct amount of product to assigned areas as specified.
• Arrive on time and be prepared for shifts, which primarily occur between 6pm and 8am, with the possibility of extended or daytime hours following winter events.
• Adapt to changing schedules and work extended hours as necessary based on weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable operating large vehicles in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, early mornings, and extended shifts during snow events.
• Experience operating a skid steer is a plus (training available).
