The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care in a complex care unit, managing patients with medicine, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term conditions. This includes monitoring telemetry, responding to rapid response/code teams, and managing various lines, tubes, and drains. The role requires proficiency in EPIC charting and the ability to handle a patient ratio of 1:6, occasionally up to 1:7.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor telemetry and respond to rapid response/code teams.
- Manage pacemakers (temporary/permanent) and feeding tubes.
- Administer blood products and provide central/PICC line care.
- Perform phlebotomy and manage peripheral lines, including starting IVs.
- Implement heparin protocols and manage orthopedic trauma cases, including total joint replacements and surgical drains.
- Administer and manage high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks.
- Perform tracheostomy management and implement isolation precautions.
- Provide wound care, including wound vacs.
- Chart patient information using EPIC.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in MS/Tele and telemetry monitoring.
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:6.
- Previous charge experience.
- EPIC charting proficiency.
