OR BA/BS Degree in Agronomy, Biology, Environment and Natural Resources, Forestry, or other Plant Sciences related fieldExperience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPointMS Teams and Outlook, Web Soil Survey, PLANTS databaseDuties:Provide technical assistance, populate conservation plant characteristics and data, assist with coordination of tool development (Vegetation Specification Suite/VegSpec), develop technical guides and other technical resources, and assist Plant Materials Centers, State, and National staff. The primary purpose of this position is to help fill data gaps for plants recommended in VegSpec and assist in developing VegSpec to make it the premiere tool used by NRCS and others for conservation plantings. The selected individual will be remote anywhere in the US.
