Medical Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and team members

• Perform routine clinical tasks under the direction of physicians and office managers

• Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain and document vital signs in the electronic medical record (EMR)

• Administer medications and injections as directed, following proper technique and documentation protocols (medication name, dosage, lot number, route, and patient reaction)

• Update patient records during visits, including medications, allergies, and family/medical history

• Handle patient phone calls, address concerns, or relay messages to the appropriate provider

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

• Knowledge of basic nursing practices and clinical procedures

• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and teamwork

• Ability to work collaboratively with providers and colleagues in a fast-paced setting

• Willingness to travel to satellite locations as needed

• Active and appropriate nursing or Medical Assistant certification/licensure required
