· Full-time, Reading Facilities Maintenance Workers and Town Custodians Union, Non- Exempt, 40 hours per week, Benefits Eligible
General Summary
Reporting directly to the Director of Facilities, performs routine work relating to installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and equipment in accordance with standard practice of the HVAC trade to the school and town buildings. Performs all other related work, as required. The goal of this position is to maintain a safe, comfortable, and functional environment in all School and Town Buildings in a cost-effective, customer-oriented manner that helps the Town & Schools fulfill their missions
Work Hours
This is a full-time position with typical 40 hours per week and on-call emergency status during unscheduled work hours.
Minimum Qualifications
· High School diploma or GED
· Three to five years of related HVAC/R experience
· Experience with the use of technology (specifically work order system)
· CFC Recovery License required
· Refrigeration License required
· Pipe Fitter’s license preferred not required
· Valid Class D Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record required
