We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to manage and oversee our company’s payables process. The AP Accountant will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, verifying and reconciling accounts, preparing payments, and ensuring that all payables are accurately recorded and paid on time. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting principles, financial reporting, and proficiency with accounting software.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, including accruals for outstanding invoices and unbilled liabilities, and record amortization of prepaid expenses as part of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper GL coding, matching with purchase orders and receiving reports, and timely payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
• Monitor and manage AP aging reports to ensure timely payments and accurate cash disbursement forecasting
• Maintain accurate vendor master data, including banking information, tax IDs, and payment terms
• Prepare supporting documentation for internal audits, quarter-end reviews, and year-end audits
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures, accounting policies, and company guidelines
• Perform various accounting and clerical tasks related to the documentation, recording, and filing of payable transactions
• Participate in cross-training within the team to ensure continuity of AP operations
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation schedules, and disposals
• Maintain leased asset records and ensure compliance with lease accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842 or IFRS 16)
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and provide updates to HQ as needed
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 4+ years of experience in accounting/finance/business management related experience
• Ability to collect and analyze data to report so that management may perform strategic analysis
• Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
• Strong knowledge of financial, cost and management accounting principles
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Experience of Monthly Closing, Financial Information Preferred
• Work experience and Knowledge using SAP system
